Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality aims to obtain the most important squares of the city through competition. Throughout the process, as a result of various presentations and informative presentations made to different non-governmental organizations, an intense agenda was created and the attention of the public was drawn to the process. 

In this process, the public came together with the project authors in online question and answer sessions and asked all the elements they were curious about and could not understand in the projects. KAAT designed Bakırköy Urban Design proposal completed the process as the winner project of the referendum after 24.782 people voted.
